What We Do

Tagata moana community and economic development

Tagata moana are connected by bonds of kinship, culture and a shared Pacific worldview. Dauntless Blue strengthens these reciprocal links as assets that help our communities thrive.

Linking iwi and tagata moana

As part of our commitment to whakawhanaungatanga we are building international trade and economic links between the Indigenous peoples of the Pacific. We aim to create lasting connections for the prosperity and wellbeing of tangata whenua in Aotearoa and tagata moana around the world.

Supporting the tagata sa’ilimalo movement

Our roots lie in the tagata sa’ilimalo community (Pacific disabled people, their families/nofo-a-kainga, and carers/supporters/tautua soifua in Aotearoa). We are a key partner of Tōfā Mamao, a grassroots collective of tagata sa’ilimalo. Dauntless Blue played a major role in funding, guiding, and advocating for Tōfā Mamao’s Tagata Sa’ilimalo Strategic Framework.

Supporting community aspirations

We recognise that excellence abounds in tagata moana communities. To foster this vitality and talent we provide targeted financial support to outstanding community groups and individuals who aspire for the best. Past investments have included sponsorship of students, sports clubs, and musical groups.

Theresia’s expertise is in managing systems change in the public sector, with a particular focus on marginalized communities, including tagata sa’ilimalo, tagata moana, Māori, disabled people, immigrant communities and refugees. She brings an ‘intrapreneurial’ approach and private sector experience to her role as a policy implementation strategist, which has spanned service design, systems change, funding and contracting and service strategy development.

She has made key contributions in the areas of immigrant resettlement, disability services and Māori health — driving reforms, challenging assumptions and making space for the leadership and participation of marginalized communities.

“As manager of the Papatoetoe Rugby Football Club – U11 Warriors, I wanted to offer our sincere thanks & gratitude to Dauntless Blue for your continuing support in sponsoring our young tamariki training t-shirts for the 2023 season to go with the training jackets which you also helped sponsor for the 2022 season. We appreciate your willingness to give back to your local community & our young talented boys.

Your contribution is not just sponsorship but is also an advertising opportunity, we hope having your business on our off field gear provided exposure not only in Auckland but also whilst we were in Taupo in 2022 & Queenstown in 2023 for the NZ Junior Rugby Festivals.”

“I am writing this letter to express my sincerest gratitude, for the sponsorship Dauntless Blue Company has provided through my laptop. Thanks to this form of sponsorship, I have been able to carry out multiple assignments or internal assessments that I have been handed from school.

I am deeply grateful for the sponsorship through the laptop for this is one resource that not every student in Samoa has access to. However, through Dauntless blue I was fortunate enough to receive a priceless tool that enables me, as a student to have technology at my fingertips. Thank you once again for your support.”

“It is my pleasure as Chairperson of East Tamaki Rugby Club to express our sincere gratitude and support to Dauntless Blue company, for their generous support of sponsoring our Premier Team`s playing uniform for the 2023 year.
